  • Write a letter to a absent student about our review of Spanish 1 - make sure to explain how to conjugate regular and irregular   present tense verbs as well as stem changing verbs.
  • Compare yourself and a sibling or friend. (In Spanish)
  • Explain the differences between ser and estar
  • Write a letter to a friend explaining the differences between the imperfect and preterite
  • Tell me what you did this past summer - make sure you use the preterite tense! (In Spanish)
  • Explain the differences between por and para.
  • Write a note to your sibling or friend commanding him or her to complete at least 15 different tasks. (In Spanish)
  • Write about your favorite place to visit and what you activities you can do there. (In Spanish and using the present progressive tense)
  • Tell me what your favorite thing is that we studied this year, and why - what do you wish we did more of...
  •  Identify and give a description (100-200 words) of a famous Latino actor/actress, athlete, artist, AND activist. (look them up on internet, and read about them, the description MUST BE IN YOUR OWN WORDS and not copied and pasted into blog.
  • What is the "El Camino de Santiago"? Where is it? Why might this interest an American student?
  • Do you think it's important to study a foreign language?  Defend your answer!
  • What and where is the Alhambra, what is its historical significance?
  • In at least 500 words explain why you think Bullfighting is like the sport of hunting in the United States. What would you expect to witness if you went to see a bullfight? Would this interest you? Why or why not.
  • Write a well developed letter to PETA asking them to protest bullfighting.
  • What is jai-alai? Explain in-depthly what takes place if you were to participate. (at least 500 words)
  • Blast at least two stereo-types about Latinos that you have learned this year in class. 
  • Research el cinco de mayo and explain it's significance and where it is celebrated.
  • Research a Spanish speaking country in Central America and give some basic geographic/demographic information that may convince someone to visit.
  • Research a Spanish speaking country in South America and give some basic geographic/demographic information that may convince someone to visit.
  • Research Spain and give some basic geographic/demographic information that would convince someone to visit.
  • Research an island country/territory that speaks Spanish and create a travel brouchure with basic gegraphic and demographic information that would convince someone to travel there.
  • Research the Day of the Dead online and explain how it is alike and different from Halloween.
  • Investigate an American city that has a large Spanish speaking population - describe how the city is alike and different from Louisville and what changes Louisville would have (or has had) to make to accomodate a larger Spanish speaking population.
  • Research Las Posadas and describe in 200 words when and how it is celebrated.
  • Research one of the Spanish masters and identify what makes their work stand out...
